APMP certification

APMP has a handful of Accredited Training Organisations (ATOs) for its certification training. BidCraft is one of these trusted partners, approved to deliver the official training, and quality audited by the examiner, APMG.

We deliver the training in 3 ways:

1. True self-paced eLearning on the BidCraft Academy (the only ATO to offer this globally)

2. A hybrid option with Academy eLearning and live seminars for teams

3. Or full in-person classroom sessions for corporate clients.

What courses do we offer?

We offer training for APMP’s signature certifications: Foundation, Practitioner, and Capture Practitioner.

Foundation

Foundation Level certification demonstrates knowledge and understanding of bid and proposal management best practices and a commitment to your own professional development. Suitable for bid and related professionals (eg marketing or sales) with at least 1 year of experience.

Delivery: We deliver Foundation as self-paced eLearning on the BidCraft Academy, or for client teams as a hybrid with eLearning and live seminars.

Practitioner

Practitioner certification demonstrates a mastery of how to apply bidding best practices and lead others in their use. Suitable for proposal professionals with at least 3 years’ experience. APMP membership and Foundation Level certification are required.

Delivery: We deliver Practitioner as self-paced eLearning on the BidCraft Academy, or for client teams as a hybrid with eLearning and live seminars.

Capture Practitioner

Capture Practitioner certification assesses the knowledge and skills that demonstrate proficiency in capture management. Suitable for proposal professionals with at least 3 years’ experience in the capture, sales, bid, or proposal fields. APMP membership is required.

Delivery: We deliver Capture for client teams in the classroom where we can get deep into the nuances of the subject.

Self-paced eLearning

Our eLearning platform – the BidCraft Academy – offers a flexible and convenient way of learning for busy bid professionals with tight schedules. It also helps cope with the inevitable last-minute, must-win bids.

Access learning materials at any time and from anywhere, using your laptop, tablet, or mobile. This flexibility makes it easier for you to balance work, life, and education without having to depend on a fixed training timetable.

It is genuine eLearning – bite-sized video, audio, interactive modules, downloadable resources, and quizzes done at your own pace, rather than a live call booked into your calendar.

You get access for 6 months. We used to give people a year, but bid people are terrible procrastinators, so we’re giving you a deadline…

Hybrid eLearning and seminars

When a team wants to help each other study, we offer a cohort-based hybrid delivery, where everyone gets access to the self-paced eLearning on the Academy, and then we have live scheduled seminars to discuss what has been learned in that module. This allows for detailed discussions on the topics learned, the opportunity to ask questions of our Approved Trainers, and team encouragement to get everyone through.

In-person classroom training for teams

We offer classroom training for corporate groups, so if your company has up to 12 people to train and would like to use it as an opportunity to get the team together, we can come to you. Just get in touch and we can agree your objectives so we can tailor the training to you.

APMP ATO

Not everyone is accredited to deliver APMP certification training. We have contracts and audits with APMP and APMG that demand rigorous levels of quality and support for learners.

ATOs can have their status revoked, so make sure you find a provider whose status is current (see the APMP website for the latest list).

Also be careful of non-APMP certifications on offer – they may well be a good solution for other needs, but they are not the APMP certifications employers ask for.

CEUs/CPDs

To maintain your certification you will need to collect CEUs/CPDs to record in the APMP system. These CEUs can be earned through doing training with ATOs – you get 1 CEU for each hour of training you do.
