Our process

We work with you to craft bespoke solutions to complex bidding challenges.

Working together

The journey

Step 1:

It starts with you

You’ve reached out to us for a reason, so we listen carefully to understand your situation and your priorities. When we understand the ‘why’, we can recommend solutions, and maybe some that you’ve not considered before. We think this creates better outcomes for everyone.

Step 2:

We craft a solution

Once we’ve agreed the scope of work, we craft a solution as unique as your business. Whether it’s a short or long-term engagement, everything we do is individually tailored using the best of our creativity and expertise.

Step 3:

We go all-in to deliver results

Becoming part of your team helps us adapt our approach to the realities of your world and to deliver better results. Learning to work together is an important part of building a trusted relationship, plus it feels nice being a part of things.

Step 4:

You benefit from knowledge shared

From ideas to tools, we want to leave something to remember us by. We’re all about adding value and being the most helpful we can be.

Step 5:

We leave you to it — until next time

Ultimately, we want you to enjoy the experience of working together so much that BidCraft is the first name you think of when you next need help.

Integrated collaboration

“BidCraft provided Logiq with excellent support for a recent and successful MoD tender. At all times BidCraft provided flexibility adapting to our bid approach. They integrated seamlessly and worked as one team from the outset bringing rigour, expertise and focus to the tender process. Secure by Design was a strategic target for Logiq and throughout it was clear that the tender was as important to BidCraft as it was to us. They were highly professional, committed and we enjoyed working with them. We were delighted to celebrate success with and because of their input. We hope to work with them again.”

Tools for success

“I can’t recommend Bidcraft’s services enough. They supported us through our application to Crown Commercial Services GCloud-13. From the start, Gareth was supportive and concise, outlining what we would need to do and providing us with the tools to achieve it. Taking any ambiguity out of the process, he ensured we were prepared in good time and made it a stress-free process. Bidcraft go one step further, not only did they make sure we had what we needed for this application, they also gave us the tools to be able to successfully repeat the process on future applications. We had a fantastic experience working with them.”

Supportive and collaborative partners

“We have partnered with Bidcraft on a number of projects including workshop facilitation which helped us improve our ways of working, supporting the team with their professional APMP accreditations and working alongside us on live bids. The Bidcraft team are supportive and collaborative partners who really do work hard to understand the outcomes we are striving to achieve and work alongside us to help get us there. Would highly recommend to other organisations looking to #bid like you mean it and we look forward to continuing our collaboration in the future.”

Exceeding expectations

“Jon Darby supported us with the largest (by potential value) tender we had ever submitted – worth £3.5bn. We had to work against almost impossibly tight deadlines and weave in costs from suppliers on both sides of the Atlantic. The fact that the tender document consisting of 5,404 pages was submitted to The Ministry of Defence by the deadline and looked, read and felt totally professional was almost entirely due to Jon Darby’s diligence, organizational skills and previous experience. Jon proved himself to be patient in adversity and never lost his sense of perspective and humour.”

Breaking new ground

“Jon became an integral part of our team, building awareness of the importance of capture and the processes to support it. Again and again, Jon worked to explain and illustrate the concepts, overcame resistance, went back to foundations, worked flexibly and sensitively with complex and challenging stakeholders, and helped land an understanding of capture. BidCraft broke ground for us in the capture space. They helped create the foundation we needed to establish a dedicated in-house capture team that will serve our emerging markets and major clients.”

Incredibly responsive & highly engaged

“We engaged BidCraft to provide public sector experience and knowledge in what was a hugely complex procurement process, consisting of a broad range of complicated asks. BidCraft were highly engaged throughout the process, embedding themselves into the deal team, being incredibly responsive and responding rapidly to the changing timescales. All of this was carried out with the utmost discretion and respect of the confidential nature of the process. BidCraft truly provided a service that helped make significant strides in submitting a quality response.”

FAQs

Want more information?

We’ve got our own bidding capability – why do we need you? expand

Clients quickly realise they’re buying expertise that’s hard to find and an external impact that complements their own team.

The combination of your in-house company knowledge and our outsider expertise is a great blend that works effectively and gives you extra capability precisely when you need it.

That winning combination is one of the reasons why so many clients bring us back time and again.

Can you provide bidding resources? expand

Yes, we can, although we’re not a resourcing agency. We happen to personally know some excellent bid managers, bid writers and graphic designers who understand what it takes to work on bids and integrate with your team.

We can either introduce them to you and step back, or we can engage them through us if it’s part of a wider service offering where you need more than just bodies.

What’s the process for getting you onboard? expand

We like to keep things simple, but recognise that clarity is important. Here’s a typical process plan:

  1. We discuss your requirements and propose a solution crafted to you
  2. We jointly confirm the scope of work and the plan
  3. You send us a PO (and onboard us if that’s how you roll)
  4. We begin delivering the agreed services, dovetail with your team, and report progress
  5. We conduct a managed exit and initiate ongoing relationship management.
